‘American Idol’s’ Pickler dubbed the worst and other juicy tidbits
Looks like the best efforts of VoteForTheWorst.com could not save little Kevin Covais. If you haven’t checked out the website yet, the founders rally around the idol who they dub to be the worst and encourage people to vote for them. They claim victories by keeping Scott Saval around last season and Jasmine Trias and John Stevens the season before and now that Kevin is gone they’ve picked Pickler!?!? Whether or not this grass roots effort really postpones or changes the outcome of the voting is a topic for debate, but there’s some interesting reading on this site. Imagine a country where more people vote for a pop idol than the next president. That’s the premise of the upcoming movie American Dreamz by Universal Pictures. Set to release on April 21, this tongue in cheek look at our current fascination with “idolsâ€? comes complete with its own political agenda and terrorist plot. Oh, and don’t forget to check out the “idolesqueâ€? website where you can view performances, interviews, etc. Hugh Grant, Dennis Quaid, Mandy Moore and Chris Cline lead the cast with what looks to be particularly fun and entertaining movie if you are a fan of director Paul Weitz (About a Boy, In Good Company, & American Pie).

Kelle, I heard that Chris’ cover of “Walk the Line” was played Sunday night on a talk radio show. Know anything about this?
