Lakota West’s Hicks set new district record
Lakota West High senior guard Jordan Hicks saw his basketball career come to an end on Saturday night, March 6.
But not before he set a Lakota district record.
Hicks finished his career with a record 87 games played, including 81 starts. He missed only one game his entire four-year career, and that was for the Under Armour All-American football game in early January.
Hicks also holds the district record for career steals (170) as well as the West mark for steals in a game, steals in a season and steals per game in a season. Hicks is in the Lakota top ten in all five primary statistical categories (points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocked shots) — a distinction he shares with just one other player, 1992 Lakota graduate Keith Gregor.
Hicks ranks eighth on the all-time Lakota scoring list with 1,062 career points.
