Alter 27-0
Alter has switched up from a running game to a spread offense now, and they’ve got Cody Byers throwing balls.
Byers connected with Alter’s Connor Cummins for an 8-yard TD pass. DiMario’s PAT was wide right, however.
That’s the only mistake Alter’s made so far tonight.

Alter-Carlisle pregame
Good evening and welcome to tonight’s Division IV, Region 16 semifinal battle between undefeated and defending state champion Kettering Alter (11-0) and sixth-seeded and upset-minded Carlisle (9-2).
Kettering bashed Jonathan Alder last week in Kettering, 42-0, to earn a short drive down I-75 to Monroe High School, site of tonight’s game. Carlisle upset previously undefeated North College Hill on the Trojans’ home field by a 21-13 tally.
There’s a huge Carlisle following here at Monroe Stadium. The large visitors’ grand stand on the east side of the field is easily 3/4ths of the way full. The red and white-clad fans gave the team a thunderous ovation as the team came onto the field for warm-ups at 6 p.m.
Alter appears to have a smaller crowd at this point, but their fans had a slightly further drive to Monroe than the Indians. One can be certain that the Knights’ faithful will be on hand in large numbers by the time the opening kick-off takes place in approximately 45 minutes.
So, if you can’t make it to the game and you’d like score-by-score updates from the game, feel free to follow my blog reports right here on your favorite Cox Newspapers Web site.
Alter just spread out on its southern half of the Monroe field, and the Alter fans just erupted in support. See? They’re here. They were just waiting for their chance to cheer.
Kick-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. I’ll report back then. Thanks for reading my blog!
