Monroe Playoff tickets on sale

MONROE PLAYOFF TICKETS ON SALE: Presale tickets for Friday’s Division III regional semifinals football game with Wyoming, to be held at at Kings High School in Kings Mills, will be on sale this week at Monroe High School. Tickets will be available Thursday (8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and 5-7 p.m.) and Friday (8 a.m. to 3 p.m.). Cost is $7, with a portion of the presale benefiting Monroe athletics. Tickets will be $9 at the gate.

Mason’s Klever to play baseball at Xavier

Mason High senior baseball standout Scott Klever will play collegiately at Xavier University.

Klever, a P/1B, was a first-team, all-GMC pick as a junior after hitting .370 with 12 RBIs and eight DBs, while going 2-0 with a 3.61 ERA on the mound.

Lakota East’s Wills signs with Miami

Lakota East senior baseball standout Andrew Wills has signed a national letter-of-intent to play at Miami University.

Wills — a second-team, all-GMC pick last year — also drew interest from Wright State, Taylor, Kent State and Kansas State. He was recruited by the RedHawks as a third baseman.

Last spring, Wills hit .386 with three HRs, 30 RBIs and a .647 slugging average.
