Halftime: Coldwater 34, Badin 0

Badin’s trip to the Division V, Region 20 football playoffs has pretty much been a nightmare so far as the Rams trail host Coldwater 34-0 at halftime at Cavalier Stadium.

Keith Wenning has completed 15-of-21 passes for 237 yards and four touchdowns for the Cavaliers. He also fired a lateral to teammate Adam Rammel, who hit Reese Klenke for a 27-yard score.

Coldwater has had some good fortune. One of Wenning’s passes was tipped by a Cavalier and went into the arms of Drew Feltz in the end zone for a touchdown. But it also could be worse. The Rams’ Corey Cramer intercepted a Wenning pass in the end zone.

Badin has been outgained 356-65. Rams quarterback Patrick Coyne is 7-of-13 for 56 yards and limped through the final minute of the half. He appeared to suffer an ankle injury while getting sacked by Coldwater’s Josh Schlarman.

Second half is a few minutes away from kicking off.
