Anderson, Lakota West schedule breakdown
While Lakota West played all Division I teams and went through the GMC without a blemish — albeit without playing Colerain or playoff-bound Middletown — Anderson’s schedule wasn’t nearly as tough.
The Redskins, who play in the FAVC Buckeye, faced one D-IV team, one D-III team and three D-II teams.
“It’s a tough match-up for us,” Anderson coach Jeff Giesting said. “They have tremendous talent, and they’re a lot bigger than us. But we knew that. Anybody we drew, we’d be the smaller team.”
Anderson played two playoff teams in the regular season — Columbus St. Francis DeSales (D-III) and Winton Woods (D-II).
The Firebirds faced one — D-I, Region 3 qualifier Lancaster.
