Wright State gets $4.3 million for renovations
Wright State University has received funding for the final phase of renovations for its science center facilities.
Ohio Rep. Jarrod B. Martin (R-Beavercreek) on Monday, April 6, announced the release of state funding for renovations at Wright State.
“This funding will be used to upgrade facilities to help this institution provide our future leaders with the tools needed for a 21st century education,” Martin said. “It’s an investment that will provide our district with an advantage in attracting and retaining the best and brightest students.”
Items approved by the State Controlling Board include $4.3 million for Wright State to be used for the final phase of the Biological Sciences I Rehabilitation project on the university’ main campus in Fairborn. Additionally, the money will be utilized for upgrading the fume hood exhaust fan, plumbing system, lighting and other portions of teaching labs.
The resulting upgrade and other additions in the science facilities will result in energy savings and overall operating costs for the university, according to Wright State officials. This final phase will complete Wright State’s master plan of renovations for their science facilities

Out of an overall budget of around $400M, it’s not much. What’s it going toward? The article doesn’t really specify. A fume hood fan and some plumbing and lighting fixtures? Must be some nice plumbing!! Your tax dollars at work.By Wordell

I am pleased that our bastian of anti-capitalist thought, the purveyor of molding the mush minds that enter our sephulchur, Wright State University, is getting an infusion of money to improve the facilities to continue our attack on the system that allowed this facility to be built…at minimum cost…in the first place!!!! Capitalists!!!! Idiots!!! Free thought???? As long as it meets OUR agenda!!! Hey!!! Lets get that plaigerist Ward “something”, fired from the University of Colorado for agreeing with the 9/11 attacks, calling the victims of that attack “Nazi’s”, to become a “tenured” professor here without earning it!!!! Hey!!! We let anyone else “earn” anything as long as it meets our agenda….which,..is the “truth”, of course!!!! We haven’t “earned” anything for facilities improvement…so don’t let them know that we know it. It’s like having a rich uncle….as long as he has money…we love him!!!!!By KWILL

Judging solely by their impressive use of exclamation marks, methinks Kwill and Wordell thought high school was enough and didn’t bother attending an institution like WSU.By Wordell

Hey “methinks”: Debate what Kwill and I said. Can’t, can you? Like I said in my comments…mush minds. A high schooler has a better chance of debating their way out of an intellectual debate than you do.By Harvest

Classic thought KWILL. You are aways looking for an unearned handout. The only words in your shadowy vocabulary are: give me more.By Wordsmith

A high schooler has a better chance of debating their way out of an intellectual debate than you do. Methinks the pot calls the kettle black, my friend. Debate has absolutely nothing to do with the slinging of mud.
