Obama expected in Cincy for Labor Day picnic, White House confirms

President Barack Obama is coming to Cincinnati on Labor Day, Sept. 7, the White House announced on Monday, Aug. 24.

Although the White House provided no details, the president is expected to speak at the Cincinnati AFL-CIO’s annual Labor Day Picnic, Democratic sources said. The picnic draws from 10,000 to 15,000 participants.

The president is expected to campaign for his plan to overhaul the nation’s health care system and discuss other issues important to labor, according to one source.

While Obama carried Hamilton County in 2008, the area traditionally has been good for Republicans.

“best president of the 21st cntury”? it is a coin toss as to who is the best or who is the worst, we have only had two and half the country unreasonably hated W and half the country hates BHO. Maybe president number three will be better, he would have to work really hard to be worse then BHO. Space limits a full list of how much he is full of poop.

All of the people who voted for and support Obama have absolutely NO clue how economics work. Where do you all think he will get the money to pay for this “healthcare plan. FROM YOU!!!! He is bankrupting our nation and buying debts for us that will last for GENERATIONS! How is that better? I think a partial solution would be for him to make his cabinet pay thier back taxes. That would cover a pretty good chunk of the bill. I agree with the person who said they wouln’t cross the street to see him. You know everything that comes out of his mouth will be a lie, or scripted by some special interst group.

I think that is wise that he get Americans involved, people don’t see but he has open the doors to congress and letting you take a peak of what’s really happening. He is offering us an opportunity to give our thoughts on the decisions that are to be made with our future. We have to take accountability of our own choices. We have to change the way we look at healthcare. Stop selecting plans with-out checking out your benefits, pay the extra for better coverage, and never compromise your health because you don’t have the ability to pay. I am proud of Oboma for staying focused and keeping his promise

I wish I could go. I’d love to show my support for health care reform. I’ll be on Medicare soon so I don’t really need it but I know it will help our country’s economy to lower health care costs. Plus I know people who have to go to the emergency room when they get sick and it costs all of us.

Okay, my son last year lost his factory job due to the crash in the economy (Thanks to Bush). 1ys later my son is working through stimulus monies that generated summer jobs in our community. If it were not for the money my son would still be out of work and depressed. Now, he sees a light at the end of the tunnel. We have to give President O time to make a change. It’s going to be hard and painful, we did not get into this mess overnight and it’s going to take us sometime to get things turned around. Just think if someone else had been elected into the W House? Would that person have had an easy time getting us back to a healthy economy? I think we all know the correct answers to that question.

This Hitler comparison is outrageous! Check your history books, Hitler MURDERED hundreds of thousands of people, in gas chambers, not counting the soldiers who died in WWII. My Father fought in WWII, and I find it highly offensive to suggest I am a Hitler follower just because I do not agree with you. You are acting like the true tyrants and spoiled little brats. YOU are insulting your neighbors, family and friends because you cannot stand to hear anything else besides your own opinion.

Nobamasomethingorother wrote: At least ole dumb a s s didnt bankrupt the country with some cockamamey b.s. stickittous plan. Oh, no. Bush didn’t stick it to us, did he? The level of stupidity on this board is truly mindboggling. I could refer these knuckle draggers to Sinclair Lewis and warnings he issued 75 years ago but none of them would have a clue as to who he was.

Let’s see….what did our last President do for our country the last 8 years? He made a mess for the next President. People are quickly to judge President Obama. I cannot believe some of these postings and how ignorant people can be. They need to educate their selves on what is truly happening and not make quick decisions based on what they THINK. Get a grip people. President Obama by far is one of the greatest President’s we will have in our life time! I 100% back him and I’m from Preble County!

Cincinnati AFL-CIO’s annual Labor Day Picnic is paid for by union dues. The AFL-CIO was a major campaign donor to Obama so of course he will come pat them on the head. Union dues are taxation without representation. Meaning that all you union members are paying dues to an interest group that has no interest in you.

This was Ohio’s money that would have made 10,000 job’s the Obama White House i s prepared to send more than two billion of your hard-earned tax dollars to Brazil so that the nation’s state-owned oil company, Petrobras, can drill off shore and create jobs developing its own resources? ( Side note G. Soros reports 73.5% increase in Petrobras stake ) Yes that’s the guy that backed Obama now BHO is paying him back with our tax dollars…
