Oliver North is coming to The Greene Friday
Ret. Col. Oliver North will be at Books & Co. at The Greene on Friday, Aug. 21, to sign copies of his book American Heroes.
After the 1:30 p.m. book signing, North will take part in the Freedom Concert at Kings Island hosted by conservative talk show host Sean Hannity. Billy Ray Cyrus, Lee Greenwood, The Charlie Daniels Band and Michael W. Smith are performing at the concert. Tickets are $75 and include park admission.

LT. COL. North is an American Hero and should be treated with respect! The ones who crybaby around about this brave Marine have most probably never served in the military and risked their life for a fellow American or a fallen soldier who needed help after being wounded fighting for his country. It amazes me that people take to personally attacking others for their posts. Isn’t that part of what America great? That we can verbalize our opinions without fear of persecuton. And lest we forget, Ollie did commit acts that would have gotten any ordinary person some jail time.By RM25483

I’d love to see Ollie, but I’ll be working. These freedom concerts benefit an organization called “The Freedom Alliance” that pays the college tuition for the kids of fallen soldiers, marines, airmen and sailors. While the artists probably don’t play for free, I’m sure that Springsteen, Bon Jovi, et al don’t either when they’re playing benefits for statist causes.By Scooter is a moron

Hey philman, I wouldn’t hold your breath on saying the freedom concerts have raised “Millions and millions of dollars for the troops.” Surrre. Are you trying to tell me that all these artists flew themselves in for free, paid for the loding for free AND did the concert for completely free? Get a clue. Those acts make tons of money off of it while you willing pad their pockets with YOUR money.
