A new entry in the pantheon of comic book heroes
An Englewood police officer was on patrol during the dark hours of a Saturday morning after closing time when he saw two gentleman staggering down the middle of the street, according to the police report. One fellow was carrying a bright orange traffic cone over his shoulder. The other was wearing a black Batman cap.
When questioned, the traffic-cone fellow said he found it in the street and took it because “he just wanted to.” When searched, the officer found two salt shakers in the traffic-cone fellow’s pocket.
What’s this? he was asked.
Salt shakers from a local bar, he responded.
Did you steal them?
Yes, “because they needed salt at their house,” according to the report.
The officer noted a strong odor of alcohol coming from the gentlemen. He also observed that when he pulled up behind the pair with his emergency lights flashing, they initially appeared oblivious to his presence.
The gentlemen were arrested on a variety of charges, including theft and public drunkenness. En route to the county jail, the Batman-cap fellow became belligerent.
According to the report, Batman-cap fellow wanted to know where the officer lived so he could blow up the officer’s house. The officer reported Batman-cap fellow told him “he is my worst nightmare and will get even any time he sees me.”
His compatriot, the traffic-cone fellow, told Batman cap to be quiet and calm down. Both were jailed without incident.
I suppose this “Dynamic Duo” may qualify as comic book heroes.

It was batman and boy stumbler. It wasn’t a traffic cone, it was a “vehicle alternate direction indicator.” Every superhero has one. jeez, don’t you read the comics???
