“Crazy Hair Contest”: Can you beat me?

Now here’s an online contest that’s right up my alley: So Cozy (maker of children’s hair care products), The Children’s Place, and Working Mother magazine want to see your child’s CRAZIEST hairstyle.

The contest sponsors are inviting parents to share their kids’ wackiest hairdos for a chance to win fabulous prizes.

From now till June 7, WorkingMother.com is asking parents to upload and share images of their weirdest looks.

A panel of judges including So Cozy founder Cozy Friedman and Working Mother editors will pick 10 winners, who will each receive a basket of So Cozy products, a $50 gift card and a Towel Buddy Bag (valued at $16.50) from The Children’s Place.

But be warned: I happen to be an expert on the subject.

2009’s “Blue Wave”

Each summer, my daughter’s dance camp hosts a “Crazy Hair Day,” and we really get into it, perhaps even go a little overboard.

2008’s “Toy Pile,” created in only 10 minutes because we had slept in that morning!

Some of the girls come to camp sporting mismatched scrunchies, braids, or maybe offset ponytails. My girl and I don’t stop there: We have incorporated cardboard props and overturned tumblers in our quest for the wildest style ever.

(I was so proud of one of my creative coiffures that I even blogged about it.)

So I entered the contest. Twice.

Heck, I could also send them a photo of the time I let my son get his football jersey number shaved into the back of his head. (What they say is true: It’s only hair, and it’ll grow back!)
