Baskin-Robbins’ 31 Cent Scoop Night is coming!

OK, I missed out on the double-whammy of Starbucks Free Pastry Day and Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day — both on March 23! — so I am vowing not to be left out in the cold on Baskin-Robbins 31 Cent Scoop Night.

Baskin-Robbins is sponsoring the fourth annual special on April 28 from 5 to 10 p.m. at stores nationwide, including the Town & Country shop in Kettering and the store near the Dayton Mall.

What a cheap treat for the family, and for a good cause too: Baskin-Robbins has partnered with the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and has pledged $100,000 to the organization to further support the firefighting community, according to the company’s Web site.

A release from Baskin-Robbins says firefighters will be at some local stores for the event, teaching children and their families fire safety tips and enjoying ice cream with their community. (click here to find contact info and directions for a store near you)

The Inside Scoop: Looking for a flavor to try? Baskin-Robbins suggests fan favorite Cotton Candy, April’s Flavor of the Month. It’s pink and purple, so what’s not to love?
