District father select for board seat
The first day of classes for Madison Local Schools students is also the beginning of one local father’s service to the district.
Pete Robinson, father of a 2004 graduate and a high school sophomore, was appointed to serve until November 2009.
Robinson fills the seat left vacant by Todd Farler, who the board declared vacated his seat when he accepted a job as Madison Twp. administrator.
“I’m deeply humbled by the confidence that they put in my appointment,” said Robinson, a resident of Madison for 15 years. “I was shocked to say the least.”
Robinson, a technical salesman for Robinson Heating & Air Conditioning, said he comes to the board with no agenda, but just wants to serve.
“I go in with no agenda whatsoever, it’s just for the betterment of our schools,” he said. “I’ll do my best to conduct myself in a professional manner and do the job of helping administrate on this board.”
