“Laid back” math class offered
“Laid back” + “math class” do not usually = words commonly found in the same sentence.
But that’s exactly how one student described a new, free math class being offered at Miami University Middletown. For anyone who has been laid off, is looking to move into a new career field or return to school, the pilot program class is an opportunity to brush up on only the math skills you need.
Students begin by taking a test that determines what math skills they need to learn, and instruction is tailored to only teach those skills.
“Transitioning to College Math” will be Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Miami University Middletown, and is for students who are not currently enrolled in high school.
