ENGLEWOOD &amp;#8212; (Jan. 20) Police were dispatched to a local motel after a 911 caller reported he had overdosed on drugs.
Officers found the man sitting in his underwear, mumbling incoherently. He eventually told police he had been out drinking and bought some prescription pills from another bar patron. When assisted to his feet, the man moved toward the room&amp;#8217;s door but missed. He would have hit the wall but for the intervening of a medic. He was cited for drug abuse and disorderly conduct, and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Jan. 12: BELLBROOK &amp;#8212; (Jan. 12:) Police were called to a home in the 2400 block of South Linda Drive on a report of a possibly suicidal man with a gun.

Police surrounded the home and interviewed the man&amp;#8217;s mother, who said her 40-year-old son was angry that his assault charges had not been dropped at a Xenia Municipal Court hearing earlier that day.

According to police reports, the woman said her son took her gun and told her she was the last person he was going to see, and that it would be all over soon.
The man&amp;#8217;s brother, using a police bullhorn, convinced him to come out of the house, and the man was charged with inducing panic, drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia.

ENGLEWOOD Nov. 8 A woman was charged with child endangering for leaving her two young children alone.

Police were called by the subject&amp;#8217;s mother, who said her 13-year-old granddaughter called her and said her mother had left her two siblings alone.

The granddaughter said the subject asked her to watch the 3- and 7-year-old while she went to Trotwood, but that she told her mother no because she had plans with a friend.

The 13-year-old left the residence but returned because she said she had a feeling her mother would leave the girls alone.

They were playing outside, alone. The 13-year-old called their grandmother who came over and called the police.

The responding officer told the grandmother to call the subject. The subject&amp;#8217;s speech was very slurred as she told the officer she thought her 13-year-old was still at home when she left. The subject also said she didn&amp;#8217;t understand why it was a problem since the childrens&amp;#8217; grandmother had arrived.

The subject was issued a summons for child endangering and Montgomery County Children Services was contacted.

The grandmother took the children home with her.

The complainant and the subject both claimed the other began screaming at each other.

The subject maintained that she only placed her open hand near the complainant&amp;#8217;s face to quiet her.
The subject fired the complainant a few days later and an officer was on scene when the complainant returned her uniform and picked up her paycheck.

<content type="application/xhtml+xml" xml:space="preserve">
CLAYTON Nov. 11 Police were called to Dorchester Drive after an attempt to repossess an SUV ended in property damage.

The complainant&amp;#8217;s said the SUV they were trying to repossess had been lifted on the boom of the tow truck and was already strapped down when they knocked on the door of the key holder (subject), to see if he&amp;#8217;d turn over the keys.

The subject exited his residence and moved another truck in front of the tow truck, blocking it in the driveway. Then he and his son began yelling at the complainants, telling them to put the vehicle down, which they refused to do.

The complainants said they told the subject to call the police if he had a problem, but subject&amp;#8217;s son pushed one of them, and said they weren&amp;#8217;t taking the vehicle. The subject got inside the vehicle that was lifted on the boom of the tow truck, started the ignition and accelerated in an attempt to pull the SUV off. He was able to get it off the boom, but damaged it and the tow truck in the process.

The SUV pulled the tow truck several feet, causing it to strike a parked vehicle in the driveway.

The subject parked the SUV in the garage and closed the garage door.

The responding officer observed two tire marks in the driveway and saw that the boom of the tow truck was turned sideways. Hydraulic fluid was leaking out of the hoses of the boom. There was also a dent in the driver&amp;#8217;s side of the tow truck.

The complainant was arrested for criminal damaging and his son was taken into custody for assault, and two active warrants. They were transported to jail.

ENGLEWOOD Nov. 4 A resident in the 400 block of Heather Street reported he was attacked by his neighbor&amp;#8217;s cat.

The complainant said the cat got on his front screen door and agitated his dog, and when he opened the door and tried to get it off the door the cat went &amp;#8220;crazy.&amp;#8221;

He advised it bit his right hand, leaving four puncture wounds and scratched his right forearm before running back to his neighbor&amp;#8217;s house. Medics treated the complainant&amp;#8217;s injuries.

A witness said the complainant&amp;#8217;s daughter returned from walking the dog &amp;#8212; a boxer &amp;#8212; and that the cat ran after it. The girl was able to get the dog in the house, but the cat jumped on the screen door and hung on until the complainant tried to remove it.

The witness also said the cat went crazy as if it were a wild animal.

The cat&amp;#8217;s owner said the animal ran outside when she opened the door. She also said it was 6 months old and had not received any shots.

CLAYTON Sept. 27 An officer responded to Cinnamon Tree Court on a domestic dispute and found that both parties were intoxicated.

The male said his girlfriend hit him in the face with a flat-head screwdriver, leaving a scratch on his face. The officer looked closely at the mark and determined that it was old and scabbed over. The male told the officer he was struck about an hour ago.

When the officer asked what really happened, the subject said he scratched himself while he was under the kitchen sink working on the plumbing.

Neither party left the property to allow things to cool down, but the male agreed to remain in the basement and watch TV for the rest of the night. The female agreed to stay away from her boyfriend.

VANDALIA Oct. 23 Officers responded to Stubbies Sports Bar and Grill, 722 W. National Road, and observed a male passed out in the driver&amp;#8217;s seat of a vehicle.

An officer knocked on the window, rousing the male who was very talkative. He admitted to drinking at the bar and being intoxicated.

The officer requested the male&amp;#8217;s ID, but was given Chapstick instead. The officer again asked for the male&amp;#8217;s ID, but he refused to give it to him.

The officer asked a few more times for the ID. The male asked if he could exit the vehicle to get it and the officer allowed him to do so. When he exited the vehicle he had to zip and button up his pants and fasten his belt.

The subject repeated questions and was being belligerent. He was advised to call someone to pick him up because he was too intoxicated to care for himself. The subject called someone who lived three hours away, who refused.

The subject was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct.
