Man threatens suicide after assault charges not dropped
Jan. 12: BELLBROOK — (Jan. 12:) Police were called to a home in the 2400 block of South Linda Drive on a report of a possibly suicidal man with a gun.
Police surrounded the home and interviewed the man’s mother, who said her 40-year-old son was angry that his assault charges had not been dropped at a Xenia Municipal Court hearing earlier that day.
According to police reports, the woman said her son took her gun and told her she was the last person he was going to see, and that it would be all over soon. The man’s brother, using a police bullhorn, convinced him to come out of the house, and the man was charged with inducing panic, drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia. — Compiled by Jeremy P.
