Show-and-tell with police leads to drug charges, jail

CLAYTON Dec. 10 Police were called to United Dairy Farmers, 6691 Salem Pike, on a report of a female using drugs in the bathroom.

A female matching the subject’s description was spotted walking toward a vehicle in the parking lot. The officer asked if he could ask her some questions inside the store and she agreed.

He asked if she used heroin while she was in the bathroom and she denied it, but began crying. The subject was then asked to pull up her sleeves and show him her arms. She complied and revealed a small injection site on her left arm. There was also a small amount of fresh blood smeared around the site.

She handed the detective two used syringes that were in her purse and admitted she just shot up in the bathroom. She also gave him a white bag containing drug paraphernalia.

The subject was arrested and transported to jail for drug offenses.
