Cell phone call rings up a confrontation, firing
VANDALIA Oct 23 An employee at Arby’s, 228 E. National Road, called police and reported she was pushed while at work. The complainant said she got a call on her cell phone from her child’s day care center, and while she was on the phone her manager advised her that she was violating company policy. The complainant and the subject both claimed the other began screaming at each other. The complainant then said the subject pushed her in the face with an open hand. The subject maintained that she only placed her open hand near the complainant’s face to quiet her. The subject fired the complainant a few days later and an officer was on scene when the complainant returned her uniform and picked up her paycheck.
