Leaving the scene of an accident is never a good idea

KETTERING Sept. 1 An officer responding to a hit-and-run in the 2000 block of Vale Drive followed tire marks from the scene and located the suspect vehicle. It was found, unoccupied, in the 2000 block of Fields Avenue. Witnesses reported seeing a man running from the truck and provided a description. The man was questioned on Prentice Street. He denied driving and said his truck had been stolen but he didn’t want to file a police report. Witnesses IDed him and he was arrested for operating a vehicle intoxicated and hit-and-run. He was also cited for open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
