He needed the grill to cook up some dough

ENGLEWOOD Aug. 18 A man was arrested at Kroger, 885 Union Boulevard, after he was busted trying to steal a grill.

The subject told officers he was stealing the $379 grill because he didn’t have a job and he needed money to buy his girlfriend’s kids clothes and school supplies. He was going to sell it in his neighborhood.

The subject said he loaded the grill in the trunk of his girlfriend’s car before he was stopped by employees.
