Store clerk accused of swiping receipts

TROY July 6 A convenience store employee was charged with theft after she failed to deposit $2,400 in store receipts in the bank. Police said the woman told several stories about why the money was not deposited, and where it went. She apparently carried the money in her purse to Dayton where it was stolen or given away while she was using heroin, police said.

You gotta love getting fired from your job in a big way, Otto.

The (former)employee will probably get away with it with hardly a penalty. We’ve had 2 employees do similar things and then, after being found Guilty, being placed in a “Diversion Program” which lets them repay a small percentage of what they stole, report to a couple meetings, and then at the end of their “Diversion” year the offense is wiped from their record as if it never happened. What a crock!!!!!!! Hardly a deterrent to doing it again !! Montgomery County Prosecution at its finest. HA !

The prosecutor is not their to be your private collection service, but to administer criminal justice for the people of the county. If you want to recover your money & other costs from your former employee, then sue them for it. A criminal conviction makes it easy for you to win a civil suit. Collecting money for you is not the job of anyone paid for by the taxpayers of Montgomery County.

Hey Steve Brack, I agree. If we can’t depend on the Montgomery County’s prosecutor’s office to administer justice, why in the world should we expect them to help us get a few bucks back.

Why do you think the Highway Patrol only stop Drug Transporters in Preble, Miami, Clark and Warren Countys??? Ask them and they will tell you that they are sick and tired of the LIBERAL JUDGES in Montgomery. Want justice??? Vote out the LIBERAL JUDGES in Montgomery County.

Can anyone say….”background check” or “on job site drug testing” or….”in store cameras”? This worthless chick won’t work in this town again. What a waste of oxygen!

She “gave away” her money? Yea, I’d say! She “gave it away” to the drug dealer - who in return “gave away” some heroin! Given the way Miami County hounds & harasses decades-old sex offenders, this woman is lucky the prosecutor up there didn’t draw-and-quarter her, burn her at the stake, and then parade the ashes through the streets of Troy! Oh, wait, she hasn’t been sentenced yet!

I love haow people just love to attack liberals. Politics have very little to do with this story. And to file a civil suit ? Even if you win you STILL wont get paid. You may win a judgement in your favor , but you STILL WONT GET PAID. So tell me now Mr. Brack , what is one supposed to do in that situation?Twiddle their thumbs and hope justice prevails? What a crock!

“on the job site drug testing” , yeah that would work .At least until you get your pink slip for having alcohol in your system while at work.Even if you arent drunk. Not to mention the number of un-perscribed meds. that may or may not be flowing thru your bloodstream. Yeah , thast a good Idea. NOT!!!!!!!!!1
