But officer, It’s just a teeny bit

DAYTON March 4: An officer stopped a driver in the 1000 block of Oarkridge Drive for a signal violation and suspicious activity.

The driver was cited and released. One of the passengers, who had an outstanding warrant, was arrested and transported to jail. The officer asked if he had any marijuana on his person and the subject advised that he did.

A white piece of paper with a small amount of suspected crack cocaine was located in one of his pockets. The officer pointed out the substance was crack, not marijuana.

The subject stated, “It’s only a 30 cent rock,” and asked, “Do you have to charge me with it?”

The officer explained possessing crack was a felony and he would be charged.

There is no such thing as a $0.30 rock. You could even see one that small, Duh.

What this guy’s mistake was is that he didn’t have an illegal concealed weapon too. If he had he would be able to get the gun charge dropped and recieve intervention for the “crack”. Without the weapon he could face 5 yrs in prison. Maybe he’ll learn the next time. Carry an illegal concealed weapon and you get off a lot easier!
