Hey buddy, try to stay awake until I get you to jail
VANDALIA April 22 Officers responded to Amvets Post 99, 1123 S. Brown School Road, after a fight was reported. Two intoxicated males were standing next to two trucks when an officer arrived. They denied there was a fight and were advised to call someone to pick them up since they were too intoxicated to drive. They called a friend to pick them up and an officer waited until they were picked up. The officer drove by the Amvets lot a short time later and saw a male being dropped off by the trucks. He got into the driver’s seat of one of the vehicles. The officer pulled up and saw it was one of the subjects he told not to drive. He asked the subject what he was doing and the subject said, “Sitting here.” There was still a strong odor of alcohol on the subject’s breath. The officer asked if he planned on driving home and the subject stated, “Nope.” When asked why he came back after he was told not to, the subject said he had no intention of driving and didn’t know what the officer was talking about. He denied being dropped off and said he was never picked up. The subject said he went for a walk and came back to get his phone. He was ordered to step out of the truck and when he did so, he lost his balance and fell into the officer. The subject refused sobriety tests. When advised if he didn’t have someone pick him up he would go to jail for disorderly conduct, the subject stated, “I guess you will have to take me to jail.” He passed out while en route.

dang, that’s why I go boozing with buddies that I can depend on to get me home. With a new tattoo, but that’s a different story. Yet again, the patience of the DPD gets tested by another knucklehead…

These are probably the same guys who complain if they think the cops don’t show up fast enough if they call them. If they didn’t have to mess with your sorry selves, they’d have time for important things.
