Officer, it was only a little marijuana

MIAMI TWP. March 15 Police responded to the 9000 block of Captiva Bay after a female was reported being disorderly. Officers arrived and saw the subject standing at the top of the stairs crying. She told the officer nothing was wrong but that her boyfriend and his friends locked her out of the apartment. She told the officer she didn’t live there, but she and her boyfriend got into an argument and he wouldn’t let her in. The subject smelled of alcohol and said she knew she should not have driven there but she was the most sober person. She said she drank three shots and probably four beers. The officer was going to transport the subject home and move her vehicle but the keys were not located and the vehicle had to be towed. A baggie of marijuana and glass pipe were located in the vehicle. The subject started crying and was arrested for drug paraphernalia, drug abuse and public intoxication. While en route, the subject said it was only a “dime bag of marijuana.” She also said there is nothing wrong with smoking it and they it would be legal in the near future.

I think a dime is just 10 bucks worth which means she was right. The officer could have found something much better to do to protect us citizens.
