We came home and drunk women were in front of our house

DAYTON May 9 A resident in the 700 block of Broadmoor Drive called police after she and her husband arrived home and observed a group of females in the street in front of their home. The complainant told them they needed to move along because one of the females was drunk and vomiting. Another female in the group told the complainant they were waiting for a taxi and that she needed to mind her business. The complainant and that subject argued and a fight ensued. Both the resident and the subject wanted to file cross complaints for assault. The resident didn’t have any visible injuries but said she hurt her ankle. The subject had several scrape marks on her neck and her sweater was torn.

So the resident stated to “move along” instead of asking if they were ok? Sure it would startle me too, but being kind to them probably would not have started the fight.

I think the drunks should not have been in front of her house.Oh & Grypie Dayton does not have any jobs & will continue to not have have any jobs. Dayton is a becoming a ghost town with nothing and that is why I moved to Colubmus.

Drunks coming out of bar should move on. I’m surprised the homeowner didn’t go to jail since this bar is frequented by Dayton’s finest.

I was the homeowner, and I was concerned for her safety, however, when I approached her, she became very hostile. Taggart’s Bar really needs to clean itself up. We live there and have had so many problems over the years. Oh, and another thing! When the woman pushed me, I broke my ankle! Seems she was on the extremely inebriated side of sanity. Too bad Taggarts over serves their patrons so much that it causes these problems for the neighborhood.

Oh! And I had to call the cops twice before they would come and talk to me. And they did threaten to take me to jail. I told them that was fine. Seems they were just trying to shut me up and forget about it. They also told me I needed to mind my own business unless the woman was in my front yard. They were very rude to me. And after, they were flirting and laughing with the people who did this to me! Yeah, we pay the highest taxes in the city of Dayton in my neighborhood, but the police won’t do anything about that bar. It’s very disturbing.

You go JT! We knew it was you! Keep calling the police. Insist on making a police report.Enough calls, State can take their liquior license!

Unfortunately, there have been as many calls to the police needed to deem it a public nuisance, but the funny thing is, the police won’t do anything about the complaints. Hmmm…..

I was the vicitim in the fight. A few things to get straight. We were not in front of her house. We were next to Taggart’s and she had to cross her one-way street, the median and the other one-way street to get to us. I was not the one puking, I was holding the girls haire and the next thing I know we are getting cussed out because of it. She said she didn’t need her kids seeing someone throw up yet had no problem pushing me and fighting and letting her kids see that. The police were not flirting with us and they were right when they said they should have stayed in the house and minded their own business. Had they done that, the cab would have come to pick up the sick girl and all would have been done with.

One more thing…you live by a bar. If you don’t want to see drunks, maybe you should move or shut up. Don’t buy a house buy a bar, smart girl. And hair is supposed to be spelled hair, not haire. My bad. I am a college educated woman, unlike the white trash who started the fight with me.

As a Patterson Park resident, I would like to say that Taggart’s Bar has been a problem for a long time (multiple assaults, drunk drivers, pedestrian hit and runs, extreme noise and let us not forget the Sunday pep rallies). Just a couple of notes: they consistently over serve their patrons, they have lowered their standards on the patrons that frequent their establishment and they do not care about anyone else but making a dollar for themselves. There have been numerous complaints about this establishment and yet no one (Dayton Police Dept., the City Commission)have done anything about it. So, therefore if you want to get crazy drunk go do it somewhere else. Patterson Park does pay the highest taxes in the city and yet when we call for assistance…we are consistently told that we live in the best neighborhood in the city. Therefore, a small piece of advice let us keep our neighborhood one of the best and get the trash and drunks out. Let us all remember that our homes were here first. To my fellow Park resident maybe starting a signed petition, a trip to the city commission meeting and requesting all of the past police reports against this establishment will help.

Considering the bar is a favored hangout of the Dayton police its little wonder why nothing gets done. The police who frequent it get “perks” and in return they look the other way when people are selling drugs in the bar and falling down drunk trying to find the door to drive home. Taggart’s doesn’t give a damn who they serve or how much they serve them as long as they keep paying. The bar is a public nuisance and their license should be revoked.

What college-educated person sits drunk in the middle of a street unless they are IN college? lol!

I guess instead of sitting drunk in the road with her friend she should have been home taking care of her son. But maybe they don’t teach that in college either.

James, I believe the homeowner meant to say that she lives near the bar…I would guess you probably went to the same college as the drunk mother whose old enough to know better than to sit in the middle of a busy street holding her drunk friends hair.

I was a witness to the whole thing. The woman who came over and stuck her nose into something that was none of her buisness needed to stay the hell out of it. She deserved everything that came her way. She gave a great example to her children that she was sooo concerned about to come over and start a fight, with the woman who was helping the girl who was getting sick. My advise STAY OUT of something that doesnt concern you!!!! Dont walk across the street on Tagerts property and start something that is none of your buisness!!! And might we add you were told to go into your house because you were intoxicated!!! Oh and your husband tell him he is such a man pusing a woman!! Yeah we all saw it!!

Oh, so does that mean all college alumni never any drink anymore? Okay. Whatever. Who said I had a son to take care of? The white trash mom who started the figt

By kh

May 18, 2009 8:47 PM | Link to this

let me continue…the white trash mom who started the fight should have been taking care of her own children that starting a fight with people outside of the bar and minded her own business. Get a life people.

fyi, reba, i wasn’t sitting in the middle of the street. I was on the sidewalk taking care of a girl who was sick. Does that make me a bad person? You f’n idiot.

Oh, and I love how the homeowner said she was concerned for the girl’s safety when the first words that came out of her mouth were, “what the f_ck are you doing? Like I need my kids seeing someone puking”. haha. Whatever

Well, it’s plain to see who the hostile one is! haha. You were not on Taggart’s property, you were in middle of the street. My my, with an baby at home, you should have more common sense. Tsk tsk.

And to the “witness”…dear, you came up behind my husband and punched him in the head. He grabbed your arm and sat your butt down before you hurt yourself. And no one told me to go inside but the bouncers of that fabulous hole you call a bar. And his “expertise” on who is or is not intoxicated can hardly be credible considering they served you and you and you could barely stand. Bouncers are not police. Grow up, honey. Drunk AND stupid is no way of going through life.

The police are stepping up efforts on the click-it or ticket campaign. One crisis at a time. Dont want to overburden. The union may sue the city.
