Officer, I’m in need of towels

CONCORD TWP. May 4 A Troy woman who decided to load up on supplies during a visit to the Upper Valley Medical Center emergency department forgot one thing — the bag of goods. A hospital security officer told Miami County sheriff’s deputies a bag stuffed with seven towels, four wash cloths, gloves, gauze and other items was found outside the emergency department around 3 a.m. Also inside was paperwork bearing the patient’s name. She was called and returned to the hospital to pick up the bag. She was met by security and a deputy and charged with petty theft. She told the deputy she only had a couple of towels at home and decided to take the items from the hospital.

And so the woman is arrested, booked and she’ll be label a criminal the rest of her life. I don’t know all the facts but the hospital will bill her $100 for use of each towel. And wee cry about no health care. Silliness. Concentrate on the important issues, not a poor woman with no towels to her name.

She is a THIEF plan and simple. Let her rot in jail where criminals belong. JAS Strikes again!

She is labeled a criminal for the rest of her life because she is a criminal. When normal people go to the hospital they don’t steal everything that is not nailed down.
