Search for deer antlers earns man a summons

VANDALIA Feb. 16: Officers responded to CSX Railroad, 5510 Old Springfield Road, after a trespasser was reportedly seen there. A vehicle was parked on the property and a male was walking along the railroad tracks when officers arrived. He was identified as the owner of the vehicle. He told officers he was walking the tracks looking for deer antlers and didn’t have permission from CSX to be there. The subject was issued a summons for criminal trespass.
