HOCKEY: Wrap-up

With the Shootout loss to Ferris State tonight, Miami’s overall record goes to 8-1-2 as shootout losses don’t count as game losses in the overall standings.

It does affect the RedHawks’ league standings as they now drop to 5-1-1-0 in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association. The CCHA uses shootouts to determine victors, and this is the second year that they have done so.

Miami is now 2-3 all time in shootouts. Ironically, one of those wins includes a shootout win Miami enjoyed over Ferris State last season, which broke a 2-2 tie.

Ferris State is now 7-3-1 overall, 2-2-0-1 CCHA.

The two teams will meet up again on Saturday for a 7:05 p.m. start, here at the Steve Cady Arena on the Miami University campus.

Hope you enjoyed the coverage. Good night!
