$5 deals at the bars this weekend

If you’ve got $5 in your pocket, then you’ve got a good time this weekend.

$5 Fridays

Daijah, formerly Santana’s, started a weekly $5 special last Friday. What’s $5? Cover for guys (ladies are free), pictures in the photo booth, and all top shelf liquor. Presumably non-top shelf drinks are less than $5. They also now have a kitchen with late night food available.

Where: Daijah, 135 E. Third St., Dayton

When: Every Friday

The bite: $5 for guys, ladies are free

Cherry Lee’s Shindig

It’s time for the second annual blowout thrown by Cherry Lee’s Salon for Classy Broads and Fancy Fellas. In addition to live music, burlesque performers and swing dancing, there will be a cruise-in and food off the grill prepared by Cherry Lee herself.

The $5 event will be family friendly from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., then all bets (and some clothes) are off.
