A little bit of the beach at the bars

It must be summer because two Dayton bars are encouraging beach wear this week. Hope you’ve been working on your tan.

‘I’m On a Boat’ Foam Party at Adobe Gila’s, Saturday, June 13

Grab your flippy floppies and that nautical-themed pashmina afghan because this Saturday you’ll be “straight floatin’ on a boat” at Adobe Gila’s. Well, OK, technically you’ll just be in a room full of foam, but it should still be pretty sweet. Prepare to get sudsy. Drink specials include $14 Fishbowls, $10 Bud Buckets and $4 shots.

Luau Party at Hammerjax, Wednesday, June 17

College Night at Hammerjax is going Hawaiian this week. Make sure to limber up for the drunken limbo and hula hoop contests. Drink specials include $2.50 Coronas and $3 Blue Hawaiians. The party is 18 and up, and ladies in bikini tops get in free.
