Black Friday at Boston’s

Boston’s Bistro will have a Black Friday event of it’s own on Friday Nov. 28, with a keg of Stone Brewery’s 11th Anniversary India Black Ale, Southern Tier Blackwater Series Choklat Stout on tap starting Friday at 1 p.m. Also on the menu: Avery Maharaja Imperial India Pale Ale, Piraat Belgian Amber Triple IPA. Sounds like a welcome relief from the throngs of shoppers that will be out and about on a Black Friday excursion of their own.

I appreciate the efforts of the lounge lizard blog but is it safe to say that you aren’t into good beer? I first noticed it some time ago when your write up on Peaches in Yellow Springs said nothing about their enormous tap selection. And today’s entry appears to be a quick rewrite of Dave Boston’s email blast. The Southern Tier Blackwater series IS the Choklat Stout. IBU’S102 isn’t the brewer of Piraat Belgium Amber, it’s a measure of the bitterness of the Avery Maharaja. (IBU - International Bitterness Units.) Again, your efforts to promote the local bar scene are appreciated. But perhaps a third lounge lizard might be handy to take care of the beer talk?

Or I suppose you could just edit the original post without comment. Classy.

Thanks for the catch Jeremy. It’s very much appreciated. I was leaving for vacation and did in fact do a quick post from Dave Boston’s e-mail. That’s what happens when you’re in a rush! Wanted to get it fixed before I did anything else. As to our write up of Peach’s Grill, is this the one you’re referring to? http://www.activedayton.com/dayton/content/index/restaurants/best-bets/category/beer_bars.html
