Benefit today for Editor Lisa Warren

This event is near and dear to my heart because it is for an amazing lady who has done so much for me and for this community and this is a chance to give back.

A fundraising benefit will be held today, April 1 for Lisa Warren, editor of the Hamilton JournalNews and the Middletown Journal and seven weekly Cox Ohio Media newspapers.

Warren was diagnosed with cancer three years ago. The battle continues today for the mother of two daughters. Warren is undergoing a new course of chemotherapy and is weak from it, and has taken a leave from work.

The benefit will be held from 5:30 to 9 p.m, at Ryan’s Tavern, 241 High St., downtown Hamilton, to help Lisa and her family defray medical costs.

In addition, accounts have been established at First Financial and US Bank locations. Donations can be given to the Lisa Warren Fund.
