Getting married? Get savings here

A wedding is probably a woman’s most expensive and important “purchase” of her life outside of buying a home (or maybe a really REALLY great purse) so it’s important to get as much help as you can planning the event and saving money in the process.

If there are wedding bells in your future, here are some items that may help you out.

Click here for a free subscription for Get Married magazine. Get Married offers your inspiring videos, photo galleries and articles as well as wedding planning tools, interactive blogs and giveaways, according to the site.

Ann’s Bridal Bargains is offering free catalogs and invitation samples when you click here. Get the freebies under the offers tab at the top of the Web page.

The Nest offers a lot of great freebies as well as buying guides, advice and message boards for brides-, and grooms-, to-be. Sign up for their magazine, too. Get it all here.

Now & Forever offers up to six free samples of invitations at a time. This would be a great way to score some extras if you need some (and you should always have some extras just in case) as well as get an idea of what you want. And hey, if you’ve got the time, patience and financial need, collecting free samples may just supply you with what you need without paying a dime. Get the samples here.

If you are into wedding themes, click here for a free Disney Wedding DVD and brochure.

Need help with wedding toasts and speeches? Get some free advice and free samples here. I suggest using these to help craft your own, because do you really want to mark your special day with the words of a stranger?

Get free paper and ribbon samples from Of The Earth here.

Save the Date with a free Save the Date magnet from Giftful Heart here.

If you’re printing out your own invitations, download some free wedding fonts for your computer.

If you know of any other great sites to help perspective brides, tell us about them!

I am a local graphic designer-turned-photographer who has recently began shooting weddings. I am a low cost alternative to other studio photographers out there, with a fresh eye! Email me for my blog link to take a peak! Thanks.
