Free fish tacos one day only

Thanks to Mark Fisher at the DDN for the first post on this freebie. Long John Silver’s is offering a “Free Baja Fish Taco Day” on July 14, when the seafood chain will give away samples of its new menu item from open until 2:30 p.m.

The Baja Fish Taco regularly sells for 99 cents. It consists of Long John Silver’s classic batter-dipped fish layered inside a soft flour tortilla mixed with “crunchy crumbles,” lettuce and a special Baja sauce.

The endorsement is a little funny, not maybe the best idea for promoting a new menu item: “Sounds weird, tastes delicious.”
