Happy Earth Day!
Happy Earth Day!
Today is the 38th annual celebration of the planet we call home, and a day to step back and think about things we can do to preserve and restore our natural resources…
So that’s the official line on Earth Day, but I want to know: what do YOU think about Earth Day?
Is it a time to reflect on accomplishments?
A time to call for more action?
Or something in-between?
Send a post, let us know, then go outside and do something good for the planet.

Farmers Markets across Ohio
I have been doing some research in response to Sunday’s request for a list of area farmers markets, and I have learned that there are quite a few of them across the area and state.
One list, which appears slightly dated but still useful, can be found here.
While it lists markets in the Dayton-Cincinnati corridor, I noticed it doesn’t mention the markets in Hamilton, West Chester Twp., or Mason, all of which I have seen in operation Saturday mornings.
Also, a reader posted this link, which can give you information on CSA programs across the country, including over 70 in Ohio.
I’ll keep posting links to area markets as I find them. In the meantime, Share your thoughts here about the farmers markets you frequent: which ones do you like, and why?
