Happy Earth Day!
Happy Earth Day!
Today is the 38th annual celebration of the planet we call home, and a day to step back and think about things we can do to preserve and restore our natural resources…
So that’s the official line on Earth Day, but I want to know: what do YOU think about Earth Day?
Is it a time to reflect on accomplishments?
A time to call for more action?
Or something in-between?
Send a post, let us know, then go outside and do something good for the planet.

A farmer’s market resource
Today’s post comes in response to a comment posted yesterday:
“Please clue me in on if and where the Dayton Daily News keeps on this website a list of the local farms that have shares and local farmers’ markets dates, times, and locations. I have misplaced the newsprint versions that appear from time to time.”
The news business at its root is all about public service, so I’ll work on getting an updated list of farmer’s markets in our coverage areas, and I’ll post a link when it’s up.
I want to make sure I cover all the bases in all the places this blog can be read (it’s posted on websites for all of Cox Publishing’s Southwest Ohio newspapers), so post a comment and let me know what farmer’s markets YOU like to attend. How long do they run? Where are they located? What can you find at your preferred markets that may not be available anywhere else?
