Happy Earth Day!

Happy Earth Day!

Today is the 38th annual celebration of the planet we call home, and a day to step back and think about things we can do to preserve and restore our natural resources…

So that’s the official line on Earth Day, but I want to know: what do YOU think about Earth Day?

Is it a time to reflect on accomplishments?

A time to call for more action?

Or something in-between?

Send a post, let us know, then go outside and do something good for the planet.

More from Boehner on domestic energy

U.S. House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-West Chester Twp.) and congressmen Jim Jordan (R-Urbana) and Robert Latta (R-Bowling Green) held a teleconference today with members of the press to talk about energy. Specifically, they talked about House Resolution 6566, which Boehner and 84 Republican representatives introduced July 22, 2008. Boehner has a description of the bill on his website. You can track the resolution’s progress at this link. In the meantime, you can read more about the press conference in tomorrow’s Hamilton Journal-News.

As I type this, the headline on CNN reads “Energy Stalemate in Washington.” Have you been following the congressional discussion over what to do about energy independence and the price of oil? What do you think the solution to those issues will look like? Will it be the Republicans’ plan, or do you think there’s a better way?

As always, this is your forum. Post away and share your thoughts.
