Happy Earth Day!
Happy Earth Day!
Today is the 38th annual celebration of the planet we call home, and a day to step back and think about things we can do to preserve and restore our natural resources…
So that’s the official line on Earth Day, but I want to know: what do YOU think about Earth Day?
Is it a time to reflect on accomplishments?
A time to call for more action?
Or something in-between?
Send a post, let us know, then go outside and do something good for the planet.

More E-week reading
As I write this, the Audi-sponsored diesel American LeMans Series race teams I mentioned in yesterday’s post are celebrating a one-two victory in this week’s race at Long Beach, Calif. More evidence, it seems, that TDI diesels not only get better mileage than the clunky smoke-belching diesels of yesteryear, but they can also produce a heck of a lot of horsepower.
For those of you not inclined to read about the asphalt antics of the car crowd, I happened across another magazine that bears mention this week. Discover Magazine has a story about geothermal power in this week’s issue. This is a topic I hope to look into more this year, since The Savannah at Chappell Crossing utilizes that technology in its HVAC system. The Discover article offers a good primer to this technology, along with a brief mention of some of the pros and cons of implementing it on a large scale.
