West musicians set record

Congratulations to the following 39 Lakota West musicians who have been selected for 2010 OMEA (Ohio Music Education Association) All-State ensembles. No school in the state of Ohio has ever had 39 students selected to be members of these All-State ensembles during the same year. This exceeds the previous Lakota West school record of 26 All-State musicians selected for 2009. Students selected to All-State Orchestra are Mackenzie Brauns, Cameron Hammel, Kim Miller, Nick Miller, Daniel O’Brien, and Victor Pan. The students selected to All-State Band are Jacob Bogart, Alexander Boyer, Sara Dittrich, Eric Dobson, Rebecca Frederick, Adam Johnson, Sean Kay, Stephanie Klunk, Mattew Korey, Alex Lambert, Elizabeth McCullough, Hugo Mendoza, Alex Mickle, Patrick O’brien, Audrey Perdew, Jonathan Pyrak, David Quan, Kelsey Rienhard, Emily Roberts, Alexandra Robinette, Caitlin Shively, Hunter Stewart, Alyssa Stoltz, Mary Towers, Lauren Trebbien, Stephanie Wang, and Kate Weatherholt. The students selected to All-State Jazz Band are Chloe Bartram, Charles Dong, Kathleen Dunn, Erin Fitzpatric, Max Greenburg, and Eric Lechliter. The All-State ensembles will be performing at the 2010 OMEA Professional Development conference being held from January 28-30, 2010 at the Duke Energy Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
