Snake kills 2-year-old
A python has killed a 2-year-old girl in Florida. It was a family pet. My colleague from Poynter University in Florida sent me this link in his blog. He pointed out the dangers and the debate of owning exotic pets. Should parents be allowed to keep dangerous animals in the same home as children?

Exotic and even dangerous domestic pets in the hands of untrained non-professionals should be against the law. They are as dangerous as leaving a loaded firearm unattended around children. What a terrible and totally avoidable tradgey.
