Lakota graduate earns music award

OXFORD, Ohio - Megan McGill of West Chester Twp. (Lakota West High School graduate in 2008) was one of 10 Miami University students recognized at the Buckeye Chapter, National Association of Teachers of Singing Voice Competition held April 3-4 at Cedarville University.

          McGill received first place in the freshman college women category at the competition.

Eighteen Miami singers participated, part of 200 students representing more than 25 universities and colleges including the Cleveland Institute of Music, Ohio State, Ohio University, Baldwin Wallace, Bowling Green and Kent State.
