Are there race issues in Lakota?
Gary Hines, local leader of the NAACP, says Lakota is not dealing with racial issues and is asking parents to step forward. http://www.pulsejournal.com/n/content/oh/story/news/local/2008/03/31/pjw040308race.html
One local parent said it is a matter of perception. Ray Murray, an active volunteer in the district, said he is often consulted on issues regarding race, and the district has asked him to weigh in on some job interviews of candidates of racial minority. In his opinion, Lakota is doing a good job working on race and diversity.
What do you think? Is Lakota doing a good job? What does diversity mean to you?
