Franklin to host Wapak in football playoff opener

Franklin will host Wapakoneta in the first round of the high school football playoffs at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Tuesday’s Prep Insider on Page C2 had the wrong location of the game.

The following information was provided by the Franklin athletic department:

Pre-Sale Tickets will be on sale today through Friday. Ticket prices for pre-sale are $7. Tickets purchased at the gate will cost $9.

Tickets can be purchased in the Athletic Office during the hours of 7:30 am - 3:30 pm. Tickets are also available at Area Athletics during the hours of 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. (Franklin High School Athletic Dept. does receive a portion of all pre-sale tickets, so fans are encouraged to purchase tickets prior to Friday’s contest.)

No Passes will be accepted at the gate. Per OHSAA rules: League Passes, Faculty Passes, Senior Citizen Passes, Family, and Student passes are not permitted for use at this OHSAA event. Children under the age of 6 are permitted in free of charge. All other spectators must purchase a ticket!

Reserve Seats will be honored! Reserve Seat holders will need to purchase a pre-sale ticket and report to the back gate (blockhouse end of field) with their ticket and reserve seat number at 5:45 pm. All reserve seat holders will be allowed in at this time to claim their seats. The only seats that can be claimed are the ones purchased for the year. You may NOT reserve or hold seats for others.

Gates will open at 6:00 pm for general admission and seating.

Parking Passes will be honored. Those who purchased a parking pass for the 2011 season will be permitted to use their pass for this event.

Do not hang your heads Franklin. You had a great year and played 1 more game than alot of teams. At least you weren’t 2-8 and “young” again like some schools.
