Area products produce during first college football weekend

A roundup of area football products who accumulated stats for NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision teams during the weekend of college football:

Air Force (def. South Dakota 37-20)

Akron (lost to Ohio State 42-0)

Troy Gilmer, junior LB, Wayne: 7 tackles, including 5 solo

Quintin Cooper, sophomore CB, Northmont: 5 tackles, 1 tackle for loss
