“We are so thrilled with Katie’s decision to join the Flyers,” said UD coach Sarah Hinkley.

“She’s a wonderful girl with an extreme amount of potential, class, drive and will. She’s one of those student athletes who come along and you just know she’s going to continue to have success because she wants it and will work for it, in whatever arena she’s in.”

Katie has had great success as a Patriot both in the classroom and as a runner.

Katie’s cumulative GPA is a 4.40. Last year Katie received Academic All-Ohio honors as well as GGCL Grey North Athlete of the Year. As a senior Katie was a cross country district champion and a state individual qualifier.

She also holds many school records.
