FIRST HALF NUGGETS

Complete defensive breakdown by Rams in 2nd quarter when UL scored all of its 27 points. The best thing that happened for Rams was the 2nd Q to finally end.

TM loaded the box to stop Luther. Only problem was everyone was no more than 3 yards off line of scrimmage with NO safety. That didn’t take UL long to send WR’s anywhere they wanted. Not only were passes easily completed, but at least three times UL WR’s were unguarded.

GAHANNA - It’s 20 minutes until the Trotwood-Madison (11-2) vy s. Uniontown Lake (10-3) of Stark County in the D-II state football semifinals at Gahanna Lincoln H.S.

It’s crisp, clear and perfect for playing football.

Lake is led by RB Jim Luther. His 1,216 yards rushing are notable, but the most impressive thing about him is he’s been playing with a torn ACL in his left knee since Week 3. Doctors reportedly gave him the OK after it was determined that his left quad, hamstring and any other muscle that attaches to the ACL were strong enough to support the tear.

40 has been a good number for Lake. The Blue Streaks have scored 41, 42 and 42 points in their three playoff wins.

Love the update MP (JR here … well in Fort Lauderdale). This doesn’t look good, huh? Need a big shift in mo for T-M to have a chance. Sounds like defense is getting smoked. Peace, JR

Comments from a objective viewer from Zanesville, who attended the game in Gahanna tonight. I thought Trotwood-Madison was dead in the water at the end of the first half. Uniontown Lake was scoring at will. Unbelievable comeback seeing how it took TM shutting out the Blue Streaks as well as scoring four TDs in the second half. Impressive performance in the second half by the TM QB and some incredible hard hits by the TM defense.
