Wayne will host an all-star QB shootout in Week 3
After having some trouble filling the Week 3 hole in its schedule, Wayne found a game that should provide plenty of points between two star quarterbacks.
Wayne coach Jay Minton went to Louisville to find the Warriors’ third opponent, Seneca High School. Seneca’s quarterback is DaMarcus Smith, a Louisville commitment who is one of the best prep signal-callers in the state.
Smith and Seneca will travel to Huber Heights to go against Wayne QB Braxton Miller, who is continuing to consider scholarship offers from many of the nation’s college powers, like Ohio State, Alabama, USC and Florida.
We reporters are known for selfishly appreciating shorter games for the benefit of more time to work, and games with many passes take more time. Minton knows this, which is why he quipped about this big-time QB passing matchup, “I guess the writers will be fighting not to cover this one.”
On the contrary. This one is worth sacrificing the time to write.
