Saturday’s Ohio vs. Kentucky Classic at Centerville H.S. is still a go. The event will feature five games:

CJ vs. Highlands (Ky.), 12:30 p.m.

Fairmont vs. Boone County (Ky.), 2:15 p.m.

Beavercreek vs. Louisville (Ky.) Assumption, 4 p.m.

Centerville vs. Covington Holy Cross (Ky.), 5:45 p.m.

Alter vs. Scott County (Ky.), 7:30 p.m.

Saturday’s postponed/rescheduled girls games:

WRESTLING

The GWOC meet at Fairmont has been postponed until Saturday-Sunday. Saturday’s wrestling begins at 4 p.m. and Sunday’s wrestling will begin at 11 a.m. Sunday’s finals will start about 45 minutes after the final consolation bouts, approximately at 5 p.m.

Graham’s Best of the Southwester tournament has been postponed with no make-up date.

SWIMMING & DIVING

The SWBL meet has been postponed from Saturday until 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8 at Trotwood-Madison.

Whimps. When I was in school no one called a game. Get there anyway you can and get refs out of the stands if need be. That’s the trouble with young folks, they’ve gotten soft and the schools are afraid of a little ice. No wonder the world is goin’tohell. it’s all the liberal school board’s faul Sorry, forgot what I was rantin’ about….. zzzzzzz

When, why I was in high school back in nineteen tickety-two, we once had to shovel snow off the court to play a game against Shelbyville. You kids today are a bunch of zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Put the blame where it belongs. These days people will sue schools at the drop of a hat (or a snowflake) and most often win millions with taxpayers footing the bill. No wonder schools run shy of holding classes or events in situations where students could be hurt enroute and they could be held financially liable
