Ohio State offers scholarship to Centerville lineman
Michael Bennett, a 6-foot-3, 275-pound Centerville High School junior offensive and defensive lineman, received a scholarship offer from Ohio State over the weekend, adding to his already hefty recruiting attention.
Centerville coach Ron Ullery said OSU extended the offer on Sunday, Jan. 31, and that Bennett already has offers from UAB, Ball State, Duke, Cincinnati, North Carolina State, Indiana, Wake Forest and Northwestern.
“I think it’ll keep on growing,” Ullery said. “He’s that impressive on film.”
Ullery said the colleges are recruiting Bennett as either an offensive or defensive lineman, because he’s athleticism is impressive in both spots.
“His explosion off the ball is pretty special,” Ullery said.
