Eight make Madison short list

The Middletown Journal reports that the vacant head football coaching position at Middletown Madison is down to eight.

The short list includes Eaton quarterback coach Matt Hopkins, Middletown defensive coordinator Brett Stubbs, Madison defensive coordinator Jeff Ripple, Middletown co-offensive coordinator Joe Snively, Edgewood special teams coach Scott Clemmons, Talawanda special teams coach Wes Cole, Mason assistant defensive coordinator Barack Faulk and Little Miami assistant coach Scott Jordan.

Said Madison athletic director Darren Stevens: “We had a great pool of candidates, more than I imagined, and now we feel we have eight solid guys that get to show us what they are about.”
